Scripture sung through soul, gospel, and R&B.
This project is built on biblical texts set to music, psalms, prophets, and letters, exploring faith, endurance, and resilience through sound.

This playlist came from spending time with the text, really staying with it.
Letting the words sit long enough to show what they already carry.
Endurance. Patience. Wear. Quiet resolve.

The sound moves freely through soul, funk, R&B, neo-soul, and gospel forms, guided by the tone and tension of each verse rather than a fixed style.

📖 SCRIPTURE PASSAGES USED (QUOTED)

Isaiah 40.31

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.”

2 Corinthians 4.16

“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish,
yet the inward man is renewed day by day.”

Isaiah 50.7

“For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded:
therefore have I set my face like a flint,
and I know that I shall not be ashamed.”

Lamentations 3.31–33

But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion
according to the multitude of his mercies.
For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.”

that, after ye have done the will of God,
ye might receive the promise.”

thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
Thou broughtest us into the net;
thou laidst affliction upon our loins…
we went through fire and through water:
but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.”

Psalm 92.14

“They shall still bring forth fruit in old age;
they shall be fat and flourishing.”

The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me.”

Micah 7.8

“Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy:
when I fall, I shall arise;
when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.”

2 Timothy 4.7

“I have fought a good fight,
I have finished my course,
I have kept the faith.”
