Why did Jesus remain on Earth for 40 days after the Resurrection instead of immediately returning to heaven?
The Resurrection was not the end of Jesus’ earthly appearances. According to Acts 1, the risen Jesus appeared to His disciples over a period of forty days, giving them convincing proofs that He was alive and teaching them about the Kingdom of God.
But why exactly 40 days?
In this biblical documentary, we explore what Jesus did during the 40 days after His Resurrection, who saw Him, what He taught His disciples, and why this period was essential before His Ascension.

It sybolizes the 40 days Jesus wandered in the desert. And the 40 years Israel was wandering in the wilderness before entering the Promise Land. And the 40 days and nights of rain during the great flood to cleans the world. Jesus after His resurrection carried the souls of the saints within Himself as they appeared before many witnesses. During this time He preached the good news to the crowds and done miracles so those who didn't believe would see and believe. He also instructed the Apostles who would be sent out into the world to preach the Gospel and Baptize people. It was the time to prepare His Church after He would ascend into Heaven. He couldn't remain in this world because He needed to take His place at His Father's throne in Heaven and fullfill the beatific vision for the saints. Of course before He left the Apostles He told them He would send them the Holy Spirit to guide them in His absence. Exactly ten days after Jesus ascended into Heaven the Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles on Pentecost. On that day Jesus's Kingdom the Church began.

He shed Every drop of blood. He showed them all that without the blood, THERE IS NO REMISSION OF ANY Sins!!
He was bloodless. There was NO blood in his glorified Body that was the example for this Church age of Grace we live in!
