They use your empathy, loyalty, honesty, and sense of responsibility against you to keep you obedient, feeling guilty, and doubting yourself.

You can't ever negotiate with a narcissist. They look at everything as a zero sum where they must win or they lose. It's simply impossible to reason with these types. I stopped trying.

Sexual coersion is the worst. I was trying to save my marraige. But lost self respect. Get out, stay out. Don't look back.

Vindictiveness is the biggest red flag.

Forgiveness is for yourself. So that you don’t let bitterness hold you back and keep you from moving forward. In that sense it’s a strength. Forgiveness is not forgetting. Forgiveness does not mean you let them keep doing it.

“Narcissistic relationships are where trust goes to die” 😢 true. We not only loose trust in them eventually, but we lose more and more trust in ourselves. 😢😢

My Narc Ex always seemed keen about me and my life and my family. I know now, that he was just gathering information to use against me. 🍒

Narcissistic Personality Disorder is more than childhood wounds, mental illness, psychology, physiology, and psychopathy. NPD is demonic possession. It's time to acknowledge the spiritual aspect of antisocial and evil personality disorders so we can protect ourselves.

Compromise is cool as long as it's coming from both sides.

Thank you for giving words to the behavior. Narcissists treat relationships like a business deal where they HAVE TO get the bigger, better deal. Compromise does NOT mean self-abandonment.

i had A guy tell me not to play my favorite music in my own car when he is with me. I told him :my car, my rules" (most people do get this) and also that when I'M in someone else's car, i never tell them to turn that crap off. i respect their space because its their car! No matter. He literally will not ride with me at all now. I should "have more consideration", but he wont.

When telling about something that happened to me, he will cut me off having heard only about 40% of the whole story with a: "i GOT it!!". no. He doesn't. There was much more to the story. it was relevant. It happened. There is no richness to conversations. its as if conversations are some Math problem to be "solved" in the shortest possible time. No curiosity. No "tell me more". And it gets worse: Talk about anything open-ended or speculative and he'll say: 'That's speculation. We dont *know*, so its POINTLESS to even talk about it". Yet another topic shot down. NO exploring to see where things might lead. None of that, at all, is my idea of a good time.

Compromising every part of yourself is so self defeating. It's hard to digest, esp. once you've finally departed and begin the journey to clarity and healing. 🕊

One instance where forgiveness works is after the narcissist has died. But prior to this, forgiveness is dangerous because many narcissists have normalized entitlement and abuse. While a narcissist is alive I recommend self care and vigilance

Psychological abuse as insults is never negotiable and therefore never something to compromise about

She constantly asked me and, unbeknownst to me my sister, about my past, and my childhood upbringing. Then she constantly weaponized that information in arguments. She once told me she intentionally inflicted cruel, hurtful comments during an argument, "because [she] was going to hurt [me] first before [I] could hurt [her]".

Toward the end, she actually told me that she "profiled" me on the Christian dating site we met on. She was divorced, but she only wanted someone who was widowed with or without a child. I was widowed with a 4 year old. I was told in an argument that God let my past wife die so she wouldn't have to live a life with me. She was SO cruel!

We WANT the loyalty and good stuff back, that we give. SUCH a betrayal.
