Scott is right to demand the Black box. When you start to go into a dive you have momentary low gravity maybe you even hit the ceiling. All the plates, cups and baggage not stowed goes flying. Once you are in steep dive gravity goes back to normal and everything falls. But now "down" is itowards front of the plane which is in a nose dive. Anyone standing will FALL to the flight deck door along with the baggage plates and cups. No problem getting there.

The radar data shows a supersonic dive for 10s. All the media talk of 30s is an attempt to hide the extreme rate of fall. It was 710 knots, well above the speed of sound. It is a "miracle" the aircraft did not break up. The story about the untrained plumber taking the stick is pure fiction for the cameras. If he had touched the controls he would have ripped the wings off. If no one touched the control stick, the plane would have levelled out itself. This is what radar data shows.
