Pirkei Avot #2 with Rabbi Dunner - May 3rd, 2020

Rabbi Dunner’s series exploring Pirkei Avot (Ethics of the Fathers). In this shiur, Rabbi Dunner examines the first mishna of the first chapter in Pirkei Avot, focusing on the concept of “mesorah” — the transmission of Judaism and Torah from one generation to the next. Why is “mesorah” considered the underpinning of Jewish tradition and the Jewish faith? Rabbi Dunner unlocks the concept of “mesorah”, and also explains why it dominates the introductory section of Pirkei Avot.
