What does the population of the US look like? It might help to shrink it down a bit. Here's how the country would break down if it were a village of just 100 people.

So the ultimate minority American would be an elderly Native American man who's the child of an immigrant; speaks Chinese or French at home; follows Islam, Buddhism, or Hinduism; lives in a rural area; doesn't own a pet or a cell phone; doesn't have a high school diploma, but has a bachelor's degree; makes at least $150K a year; controls 42% of all household wealth; affiliates with a third party; and didn't vote in 2012, but did vote in 2014.

Don't scroll down, it's just people arguing about how Atheists and Agnostics should be in the "Nothing" category

Religion: nothing?
wouldn't that be atheists and agnostics, or is it just unknown data?

When it said "86 have high school diplomas; 26 have bachelors degrees" my immediate thought was "17 can write their own name".

wow. The native American percentage is depressingly low.

Thank you for not making this video about social injustice or inequality and instead making it a normal educational video.

The average American is a White Female between the ages of 18 & 65. She is at least a third generation American. She is a Protestant Christian. She owns a dog. She has a smart phone possibly an Iphone. She only has a high school diploma and makes roughly 50-75k a year. She voted in 2012 but she didn't vote in 2014.

What are the 3 extra people in the political party affiliation? Are those third party voters? No party preference? What is it?

Just to clear this up people: Atheist is not the same thing as 'nothing'. Nothing means you do not claim anything you're unbiased. It's those type of people who say "Maybe there is maybe there isn't." Atheist have a firm belief there is not a God and usually rely on science not religion. Please for the love of god look this stuff up and educate yourselves(all pun intended).

I decided to follow the person in the top left. She is a white woman between 18-65 that is also an immigrant. She lives an a rural area and owns a phone and a cat. She speaks English at home and identifies as a Christian Protestant and a Democrat. She voted in the 2012 and 2016 elections and has a high school diploma and a bachelor’s degree. Her annual income is under 15k and controls 42% of her household wealth.

I am male, under 18, multiracial, third generation American/son of immigrant (mother was immigrant), speak English at home, atheist, suburban, have a pet dog, have a smartphone, have household income of 150k-200k (not me, parents obviously), and am an independent. Free demographics

That wage earning graph was very interesting. To think that the same number of people make less then 15k a year and 100k-150k a year.
