Most people assume there's an abrupt jump from Malachi to Matthew, creating an illusion of a seamless transition within the bible history. This video explores why the one page separating the Old and New Testaments isn't just a simple turn but represents a significant period often overlooked in biblical interpretation. Join us for a deeper bible study as we uncover the historical context and theological insights necessary for understanding the scriptures.

This video explores why those books mattered, why they were read for generations, and why they still change how we understand the New Testament today.

My name is Gerald Lewis, Sr., Biblical Expositor and Author. With degrees in Theology, Religious Studies, Biblical Exposition, and years of studying ancient languages and early Christian texts, I focus on uncovering the Bible’s most overlooked truths—the ones many serious readers sense are there but were never fully explained.

Let me ask you something honestly.
Before this video… had anyone ever shown you the books of Maccabees like this?
    Not argued about them.
    Not debated inspiration.
Just… explained why they mattered historically.
Did you grow up hearing about them?
Were you told to ignore them?
Or did you not know they existed at all?
I’m genuinely curious how different people were taught.
    This isn’t about winning arguments.
It’s about understanding what shaped how we read Matthew, Jesus, and the New Testament world.
Tell me your experience growing up with this.
    I’ll be reading every comment.

I'm a preacher's kid and coming up all I knew about was the Bible. I was never told of any other inspirational books. I'm 53 and only in recent years have I come to hear about them. Thank you for the enlightenment and I'll be purchasing some of your books

Hey brother, I really appreciate your content a lot. I would like to learn more. In one of your videos it states that you are a Bible expositor. Do you happen to have verse by verse teachings on the apocrypha?

Interesting. I learned from an inclusive Bible as a young student at a Lutheran parochial school. But, on Sundays, I attended an Apostolic church with my parents. Here, we studied the KJV and I've used this KJV almost exclusively. Maybe it's time to begin again.😮

I'm currently reading The Maccabees 🤯 There is so much going on! The slaughter at the wedding, cunning plans armies regarding armies joining Gods armies to avoid invasion, destroying of Gods temple, truance and alience breaking between kingdoms, all this in book one!

I did wonder if the game of thrones author got his inspiration from the Appgropha 🤔
