Praise God that we can worship together although in lockdown! Good analogy by Rev. Wallace comparing our lockdown to the fearful lockdown of Jesus' disciples between his ascension and pentacost. What a blessing to know that as his Holy Spirit was with them then, it is now as well. May we pray and live worthy of it.
I also love John 17, today's gospel passage. These words from Jesus' heart especially touch me,
"Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am and to see my glory...I have made you known to them...as you have sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world." (v 24,26,18).
It is so comforting to know that Jesus want us with him, but has a reason for keeping us here.
