Many churches in Ethiopia continue to plant new churches and send missionaries to difficult areas. But recent political unrest has created opportunities for attacks on Christians and churches throughout the country. Christian converts from Islam face violence and even death threats in Muslim-majority areas.
The first request of persecuted Christians is “Pray for us!” The Lord desires that his children pray for one another and with one another. Through this short video, you can learn about Ethiopia, which The Voice of the Martyrs has classified as a hostile nation for Christians, and hear a current, specific prayer request from persecuted Christians in the country.

Heavenly Father,
We lift up our Brothers and Sisters in Christ in Ethiopia.
Father God, we pray and agree that you will cover them with your feathers and under Your wings, they shall find refuge.
Lord, we pray for their attackers, that the scales of deception fall from their eyes, that they may turn and see the Light of Life, Jesus Christ, the Messiah!
Thank you, Lord, we thank you for their healing and for the hearts of their enemies.
In the MIGHTY Name above All Names, Jesus, Who IS The Christ,
Amen, and Amen!
🙏❤️🙌

I knew some women from Ethiopia whose families were Orthodox. These women were very mistreated and opposed by their families when they no longer wanted to focus on Mary, but on Jesus. I had no idea this was a reality until I met them
