There is so much information available about neuropathy, some fact, some fiction. In this educational program featuring FPN Board member Shanna Patterson, MD, MS, of Mount Sinai New York, breaks down misconceptions about PN, whether related to its causes, symptoms, treatments, or overall impact on health, addressing common gaps in knowledge. A live Q&A concludes the webinar.

I have Top 1% worst cases of peripheral neuropathy according to my doctor. It is brutally painful. I’m told it is widespread throughout my body. I’ve had it for 20 years. I’m 60 now. I’ve only been out of the house about 10 times since 2020 not counting doctors’ appointments. It’s no life. I’m taking about 90 mg of Delta 8 THC along with Gabapentin and Tramadol. The Delta 8 works better than anything, but it is still extremely painful. I’m hoping that the new drug Suzetrigine can help me be able to leave the house more the once or twice a year. The pain is nearly unlivable. Can I take Suzetrigine with the THC I’m taking? Im not a junkie. I’ve never asked for anymore opioids than Tramadol, partially due to the stigma. But people like me with verified extreme chronic pain didn’t cause the opioid crisis. But we are the forgotten collateral damage of it. Just stop this brutality of pain is all I ask anyway possible.
