❤️ Have you ever wondered what it really means to put God first?
Not just saying that God comes first.
Not just praying before making decisions.
Not just going to church, reading your Bible, or asking God to bless your plans.
But actually putting God first when His direction conflicts with what you want.
When obedience costs you something.
When the opportunity you've been praying for requires you to compromise.
When everyone around you is moving in a different direction.
When God asks you to wait—and you desperately want to move.
Or when you have to surrender something you deeply love and trust Him without knowing what comes next.
Throughout Scripture, we see people facing this exact struggle.
Abraham had to surrender what he loved.
The widow had to trust God with what little she had.
Daniel had to remain faithful in a culture trying to reshape him.
Joseph had to choose obedience even when obedience appeared to make his life worse.
And Jesus, in the garden of Gethsemane, showed us the deepest picture of surrender:
“Not as I will, but as You will.”
So what does putting God first actually look like when life becomes difficult?
In this powerful Bible teaching, we'll explore the hidden tests of putting God first—and discover how to recognize whether you're truly surrendering your plans, your security, your opportunities, your desires, and your future to God.

As an fyi, Isaac carries the wood himself, not Abraham (Genesis 22:6). It was another foretelling of Jesus, specifically how Jesus carried His own cross to His own crucifixion (John 19:17) until He couldn’t anymore and the Romans forced another to help Him because He was so beaten and bloodied He didn’t have the strength to go as quickly as the Romans wanted.

I say 'God is first in my life' but my daily schedule tells a different story lol. Appreciate the practical breakdown instead of just 'pray more read your bible' — actually applying this.

If “putting God first” only happens when life is easy, was He ever really first

This hits really hard because in these last seconds of these last days, Satan will put us into the fight or flight lifestyle. A life of desperation will cause us to deny God, to deny our very salvation under Christ. It will be food, sleep, funds or your eternal life.

Thought my gf was a gift and everything then we fought and I turned to Christ so hard and he answered me. He answered me in such a profound way that I'm watching videos about him at 7:45 am.

I’m always humbled when I consider what the faithful people went through in the Old Testament. It also makes me tremendously grateful for the many blessings God has given me. I pray to grow closer to my Lord Jesus Christ every day, to be transformed and stay surrendered and faithful to Him ❤

Great video. If your going through something like this do not shame yourselves and hide from Christ. Sometimes Love is more then a feeling, it’s a choice. Once you do what he asks you’ll feel better anyways.

Putting God first isn't about giving Him the first 15 minutes of your morning in a quiet room—it's about how you honor Him in the next 15 hours of your chaos, work, and relationships. It’s a mindset shift, not just a morning routine check-box

All fear is a poison to the mind. Its like putting your hand on a hot pan. All you can do is focus on that pain. Its impossible to be elsewhere in thought. Thats fear. This is exactly why God tells us many times to not have fear.

What people don’t see is that the parents needed to be very old for the descendants to have a chance at being extra ordinary. Lots of supernatural folks came out of those two people.

Not as I will, but as You will" — that's the real test, isn't it? It's easy to say God is first when everything lines up with what we want, but true surrender shows up when obedience costs us something. Thank you for this reminder that putting God first isn't a feeling, it's a daily choice. 🙏
