For 19 months, a man who helped save 9,000 Christians in Syria has been held in prison.
Suleiman Khalil, the former mayor of Sadad, helped organize the defense of his town when ISIS attacked in November 2015, preventing the terror group from entering and potentially saving thousands of lives.
Now, he remains imprisoned by Syria’s new government, reportedly without being charged. His story raises urgent questions about justice, religious freedom, and the future of Christians in Syria.
A man once celebrated as a hero should not be forgotten.
Pray for Suleiman Khalil. Pray for Syria’s Christians. And speak up for those who cannot speak freely for themselves.

According to Islamic law there is religious freedom. Surah 2 Verse 256. I don't know where they come with this behavior.

Too much religious intolerance in the middle east.
