Too many bots in the comments promoting some bogus book. I read the comments to learn from other people's experiences based on the topic of protein and what may help my fitness journey.

I can’t take synthetic glycine supplements anymore, it actually wrecks my sleep and mood. Bone broth is my to go for glycine.

DUDE! This part about CONNECTIVE TISSUE SUFFERING... I've been using creatine for about 5 years now, probably 2 years at "higher dosage" (15g per day instead of 5g per day). Over the last year, I realized one day, out of the blue, my shoulder doesn't hurt anymore. No change to physical activity (still playing volleyball 2-3 times a week for 2 hours per session, still working out normally)... I'm now starting to think maybe my body was lacking in Glycine. This certainly brings that concept the front!!! 💪💪

A good and cheap way to get glycine is from gelatin which was a common practice done by the old time bodybuilders!!

I put all 147 of my gummy bears in a blender every morning and create a gummy bear blob which I suck on for the whole day!

Gummies still have sugar and tapioca syrup that does not cancel out. Syrup is the number one ingredient.

I'd prioritize a tsp of cregaatine first, then a tsp of creapure, then a cup of real bone broth with the gelatin still in it before I'd consider glycine

i tried bone broth prior to exercise. I prefer it prior to bed

I eat whole meat: whole Trout with the skin, salmon with skin, sardines with skin and bones, chicken wings and other chicken with skin, duck with skin (fat redered). I take Glycine twice a day(before bed and morning coffee stack), 5 grams creatine and 15 grams of collagen. I think I'm covered!

What is the optimal amount to supplement?

  19. @tomandtinadixon

You don't have to eat gristle, it can be made into broth to be eaten instead. And I have always eaten chicken skin, it's so tasty! I always add chicken feet when I'm making chicken bone broth. Whole milk has all 20 amino acids as well, fyi.

Is there any direct glycine benefit from supplementing with magnesium glycinate
