Big Tech is building a future without humans, and they're doing it in plain sight. One way to fight back is by focusing on a renewed sense of humanism, one grounded in universalism and collective action.

tell a tech bro that they're insane and they will look you in the eye, with their dead eyes, and start explaining why they ARE insane, and that's a good thing actually

Just wanted to say, since your last video I've been re-reading Dune. I read a lot of research papers for my PhD work, but I haven't read a proper book since graduating high school. I'm just under 50 pages away from the end of the book now, and reading a few chapters every morning has genuinely improved my life so much more than I could've imagined. I wake up every morning excited to read again. I haven't felt this way about reading since middle school. Thank you for the inspiration to begin reading again.

AI curing diseases is just the 'think of the children' of technofascism

Edit; people seem to misunderstand my point here. I’m not saying there is no possible application of any technique generally considered as AI in the field of medicine/healthcare. It’s a positive talking point to push down other stuff because you’re not against child safety are you? Hence the comparison

Thank you for making actual content, not slop

Bachelors in Philosophy major here and you actually make concepts fun and, as easy as it is possible, to make them to be understood. I can safely assume that you were a great teach

16:54 We're literally dealing with that in the Caribbean. I personally like to think of these hyperscale data centers being proposed her as the "New Sugar Plantations"

1:20 they hate the existence of organic life itself. they're a threat to all life itself, from you & I, to the endangered tigers, to the coral reefs, down to the tiniest mice & native solitary bees & the smallest microorganisms. ☠️

If anthropologists look for art, use of tools, innovation and language to define us as human... What will we become when we no longer have access to, or actively use, those things?
