I told him my morning Bible reading was this scripture, Proverbs 26:2 "Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse will not land on its intended victim."

I grew up in Cuba going to Catholic Church on sundays with my grandma while my parents had santeria rituals at home at night. They involved my younger brother and I in the rituals from a really young age. I always felt Jesus in my heart although for years I ran away from him. Today we all live in the US and I recently gave my life to Jesus at 30 years old. My family still considers santeria their “religion” and Im the crazy religious freak who wants to talk bible to them. I can’t express the pain heartbreak and hopelessness I feel not being able to pull the out of there. My dad is always angry, my brother is depressed and my mom has no sense of self she does as she’s told. I will never give up my faith in Jesus finding them one day too and saving them. Until then I pray. 🙏🏻

I had a near death experience when I was young and God saved me. I was in a heavy rapid that was pulling me under, and I was trying to hold onto a rock but it was jagged and I cut my fingers on it. The rock was also covered in algae so it was hard to keep my grip. I panicked. Then, I remembered a story I heard in church (Mark 4:39). This story talks about how Jesus was in a boat with his disciples while he was taking a nap. There was a big storm and his disciples got scared so they woke Jesus up and asked him “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” So Jesus calmed the sea and asked his disciples “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” When I remember this, I realized I didn’t have to be scared. I closed my eyes and felt a hand hold my own. When I opened my eyes, I had walked out of the rapid safely.

When people ask if I’m a Christian my first response is to say “I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins and rose again 3days later so that if I believe I can spend my eternity in Heaven with HIM….So if that’s what you mean by Christian, then yes”. Because the term Christian these days can mean a wide variety of things unfortunately. The enemy is ridiculous.

My husband and I were born into a family that practices Shamanism. My family converted to Christianity when I was very young but I backslide as life happens. My husband and I surrender our life to Christ about 3 yrs ago and I will never go back. God truly changed my life around. Am working in an Arab country.. And just yesterday they told me to convert to Islam, they will buy me books and bla bla bla... It's not the first time though, but they think I'll change my mind... So all the converting is for me to get a rich Muslim guy and live a posh life... 😅😅Then today 14th October 2024.. I happened to listen to John Ramirez.... 🙏🙏🙏 Thank you for sharing your testimony...
