Something that no one is pointing out is how his backstory plays a lot of homage to Stayed Gone. He is a bishop, a cooking star, a news man, weather man, and a talk show host. They teased this back in his first song!!!

Just a little reminder, everyone he killed ended up in heaven or hell. I bet some of those, especially the ones who ended up in heaven, watched as he broadcasted onto heaven, and threatened them just like how he already killed them. Imagine how terrifying that may be.

To all the people saying that they wouldn't know vox killed them, most of his kills saw vox before dying. It's not entirely impossible that you would remember voice of not only your co-worker, but also your killer about 70 years later. Also overall the personality of vox could remind them of vincent.

2:06 "I will be your voice." So that's why he calls himself "Vox" in the afterlife, the Latin word for Voice.

I like how they showed that Vox was a serial killer before his descent to hell like Alastor, shows despite how much they might dislike each other, they are more similar then they would admit.

1:53 The one shot of that signature led me down a rabbit hole. Robert Sinclair was a real person who was part of the tv industry, and he was murdered. Not by a salty employee but by a burglar.

Vox was genuinely a dangerous villian. If he wasn’t obsessed with beating Alastor I think he’d have succeeded

One of the scariest aspects of this is most likely many of Vox’s victims went to Heaven. Since it’s the 50s most of those employees were probably religion following righteous people. Imagine being brutally murdered for no reason, then half a century later your eternal peace is interrupted by your murderer telling you he’s coming for you. That must’ve been terrifying for those victims in Heaven.

    This is an interesting twist.

Vox makes clear he did NOT lead a Cult in life, just an "important organization"...turns out, he was NOT lying, this was not a Cult, it was a news stations that he WAS turning into a Cult given his personality.....but strictly speaking, it was never a cult

vox is such a competent villain it’s no wonder alastor kept ragebaiting him to become the most powerful sinner in hell, he knew vox could do it cause they’re both murderous demons

I like how everytime that a new showman "steals" Vincent's spotlight, he is always standing in the shadows.

Vox says, “Failure, I’ll show you failure” then his past life proceeds to play 😂

I find this honestly ironic and hilsrious

I love that Vox is confirmed to be a massive dork for Sea creatures this season. It makes perfect sense why he loves sharks so much, he probably respects and admires how they’re the apex predators of their ecosystems and sees himself as the same kind of creature. Plus it makes his shark teeth look make far more sense along with his Fish Gills when he’s shirtless and his pet Shok.wav. Can’t lie, it’s cute that his pet shark calls him “father”. Guessing he saw Jaws in the 70s as well, makes a lot of sense he’d associate with sharks given the shark mania fear-mongering that was super heavy during those times portraying them as cold blooded killers.

Vox would never have been satisfied even if he conquered Heaven and Hell, because what he desires most isn’t that, it’s Alastor’s approval.

I have a feeling that Christian Borle said when recording this song: “This is my last solo song of the season, so I’ll finish it off beautifully.”

A small thing I just noticed. As human Vox commits more murders his suit becomes more and more blue as well as getting darker

IRL somebody would have asked "Hey, everyone important is dying in misterious accidents or suicides, and that Vincent guy is climbing the stairs, what if he's behind those deaths? Oh, nevermind, he died, too, it must be a curse"

Love how human Vox goes from a fish pin, cycles through a few more nautical ones as he climbs the ranks (the anchor and ship) before finally settling on a shark pin in his final outfit, representing his rise to power. Such a small thing but so cool to see the attention to detail in a very busy sequence!

Love how his hair gets more disheveled as he gets more promotions. Perfect way to show his deteriorating mental state despite trying to appear composed.

Everyone's like "Oh wow Vincent is so strong to be able to hold a skylight, much less kill someone with it"
This is HIS life, and HIS narration. What's to say this "backstory" isn't heavily edited to make him seem cooler?
