I was raised Catholic & left when I was 34. Everything is a sin. I was baptized in 2015.I'm always asking a brother about Sin. Just read 1 John 3 and was crying so bad. Then God put this video on for me! He is wonderful. I can't even fathom.

Man I never realized us OCD people get guilty about not feeling guilt. Guilt has its place, but not excessively like it does with us. Thanks Mark!

I love to write and I have always wrote “journey to Freedom” on my writings. I prayed for a therapist or help with my battle in OCD that has plagued every area of my life since childhood. I didn’t even know it was OCD until God led me here.

It was so bad that I would go days without eating or sleeping because I thought I had to fast and strive to get a relationship back with God. I lost 15 lbs in a few months and had set a date to commit suicide if I didn’t “have it together” by then. But I did get delivered from the self harm. There were times were I would run laps around a strip job to stop my mind from “spinning” and I didn’t even know that term then. I would exercise obsessively as a means of “self help and perfection” and hate myself if I didn’t have the results I wanted.

I’m just thankful that I can listen to people that understand that mental illness from a biblical standpoint

I’m just trying to stop binge watching to give it a space to sink in 🥴🤣 thank you brother for obeying God in this

I am constantly overthinking everything. I second guess every single step I take. and then I second guess that second guess.
I have driven myself the point of basically psycosis because I thought for a bit that God wanted me to be homeless, not like anything about the world. I became what i now call a superlegalist and I thought I had to do all these things and avoid all these things and people in order to prove to myself God and other that I was saved through jesus.
Not fully healed yet but pray for me please!

Great video! When it comes to ignoring thoughts this verse has helped me (resist is the key word here)
    James 4:7 KJVS
[7] Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Dang all these people with all these questions. Could of sworn it was just myself asking you different questions from a hundred different YouTube accounts. How crazily similar we all are. It's so disarming and also almost comical

This is good stuff to get back to every now and then. I don't feel doomed like I once did (much thanks to you), but these sessions are a very helpful mirror for understanding myself better and for highlighting my other OCD tendencies.
