Someday the answer is really going to be aliens, and Simon is going to have to say it with a straight face.

25:47 Nothing scream autism more than a man quietly spending decades by himself building an elaborate castle out of stone so precise that it baffles engineers.

Every time Simon says geyser, it sounds like he's saying geezer and I'm hearing: "the old man" insert geyser fact...

Regarding #16, the Fairy Circles of Namibia: Over the past several years, scientists have been working on an initiative called “The Great Green Wall of Africa” in an attempt to restore the ecosystem and prevent the spread of desert lands. One way that they have been very successful in restoring life to these dry areas is by creating circles based off of these fairy circles. The circles are incredibly effective at retaining water, restoring soil quality, and growing plant life — significantly more effective than other more traditional attempts have been. So there is definitely something to the theory that they were nature's way of preventing complete drought in those areas.

I volunteer to create voice notes for Simon with pronunciation of Polish words. I’ll do it absolutely for free and no recognition, just so I can finally live in peace.

If I had to make an educated guess about what happened with the crooked forest, I'd guess that whoever started the project died during WWII, that's why it proceeded to stand as a mystery.

I never considered the blue lava/fire to be eerie, even less so scary. Imo this is one of the most beautiful and poetic sights in the world. I wish I could see it in real life

I've heard a lot of fun pronunciations of Cuyahoga over the years. Thanks for the new one to add to my list! 😂

Whoever wrote the script for this one did an exceptional job. I learned new things about places I’ve seen on lists like this dozens of times before. And while Simon always gives his writers a quality reading, the prose here really stood out and shone. Great job. :)

That was amazing. It took me 3 days to watch it, but I ended up adding a lot of them to my map. Just in case I ever have tons of money and can travel the world with reckless abandon.

I see a lot of crooked forest where snow drifts form on the north side of hills. Snow bends the saplings down. Then start growing up when it isnt flexible anymore.
