There are two types of people you should associate with.
    1. Those that You can learn from, people that You are asking questions.
    2. Those that Want to learn from you, people that are Asking you questions.

As a 25 y/o black woman navigating the world without my parents, this is necessary and much appreciated. Thank you! Women like Michelle Obama and Maya Angelou have helped mold me into the woman that I am, when my elders and mothers couldn’t be physically present. Thank you again.

As a Christian, conservative, and Republican (in this election), I really appreciated this podcast. While I may not agree with all of Michelle’s views/Democratic Party’s views, I found some of her experiences and perspectives relatable. I’ve always made an effort to keep an open mind and listen to others, even when our beliefs differ. Maybe it’s just my curiosity driving me to understand where people are coming from, but I believe that if more of us approached conversations this way, we could coexist more peacefully and enjoy life with less hostility.

Empathy is the highest form of intelligence!!! There are so many facets of understanding with empathy. It is where kindness and wisdom meet.

As a white 62 year old woman, I thoroughly enjoyed this interview. Michelle speaks about the struggles women had and continue to have to this day. While I may not understand existing as a black person in the world, I feel like all women can relate. I can remember hearing Barack interviewed when he was a senator and not even on the presidential ticket. Hearing him speak, I was convinced he was going to be president.

To anyone who's suffering depression, anxiety, insomnia and other mental health problems, you are not alone. I feel you. You are so brave. You are doing so well. I'm proud of you. I'm sending you a virtual hug ❤ For me, it wasn’t therapy or meds that helped the most — it was reconnecting with myself. I started using the exercises in Shift Your Mind by Alexander Brooks, and it made me feel human again. The anxiety that used to control my whole day barely shows up now! 🙏❤

    Excellent interview, thank you.
Out of all the wise and intriguing things that Michelle shared, what struck me the most personally are her comments on 1) her and her brother’s parents not only loving them but also believing in them 2) seeing through the naysayers and trusting and doing you anyway and 3) living your life with some purpose to help others in society.
She’s so intelligent, so well-spoken and so real. What a wonderful role model. Hearing her opening up about her own marital challenges is another good reminder that when you’re vulnerable enough to share your not perfect moments or struggles, people will actually like you and respect you more (except maybe for those who aren’t ready or afraid of their own authenticity).

Also I think Steven is becoming an even better interviewer. I always appreciate how he doesn’t interrupt and talk over his guests like many of the podcasters do so unfortunately. His responses also are neutral and non-judgemental. That really helps the listeners because it leaves a room for them/us to react, feel, think, and form our own opinions and thoughts without bias. A great example.

We lifed in a 700 sf apartment for 5 years. 1.5 of them with two kids. The kitchen was too small to eat in it so we had a tiny table in the lifing room next to the sofa😅 we still managed to fit in a x-mass tree in every year for the kids. Bedroom we shared with the younger kid so the olderone had his own space. It was tiny but full of love. And eventualy we found a biger apartment and now we have a huge lifingroom and a dining space and a big kitchen where or tiny old table stands ❤❤❤❤ life gets better. We had one more baby and I am so prowed of the little family and home we manifested together 🎉

Steven I've been following you for many many years now and what I most respect about you is that you haven't once tried to get ahead by provoking or triggering your guests but instead you lead with questions and probe with the kind of curiosity that I haven't seen even from the best therapists. The way you help your guests make sense of their stories and the way you make them think brings out an authenticity that often times, they didn't even know they had. I have seen some magical moments around your table. Thank you for being so grounded and such a wonderful role model. There's so much debate these days around masculinity and men not knowing how to be or how to carry themselves... I say, just look at Steven Bartlett. You can be masculine, stoic, deeply in touch with your emotions and emphatic all at the same time. Where's the issue? If I ever have sons, I would want them to be like you. Well done, champ!

Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. They're either lonely, they're missing somebody, they're depressed, they're hurt, they're scarred from the past, they're having personal issues no one knows about, they have secrets you wouldn't believe. They wish, they dream and they hope. And right now, they are sitting here reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you don’t feel alone anymore. What really helped me start overcoming the pain and actually move toward my goals was reading Manifest the Unseen by Luna Rivers, it opened my eyes in ways I didn’t expect. Always remember, don’t be depressed about the past, don’t worry about the future, and just focus on today. ❤
