The phone full of messages part got me — he wakes up loved by everyone, and instead of enjoying it he just freezes, because every reply, every stranger, every step outside suddenly feels like a decision he cannot undo. That part where a simple trip turns into a crowd honestly made the whole be-careful-what-you-wish-for idea feel real, and I kept thinking about what I would even say first.
