❌ Small correction: At around 6:00 in the video, there's a small mistake in the first measure of the sheet music. The D chord should contain an A natural (not A♭). This has already been corrected in the free sheet music PDF, so you'll find the correct version there! 😊

Hi all, there are hints that the Canon was really wedding music. It is said that the Nuremberg organist Johann Pachelbel donated it to the Ohrdruf (village in Thuringia) organist Johann Christoph Bach, the older brother of the famous Johann Sebastian, as a wedding gift.

Hi Melanie, I’ve purchased your Courses 1and 2.
They are so well planned and just suit me so well even at my age. I completed 6th grade in 1959 and let all those years go to waste — until now. Because of my age it takes a little longer but I’m making progress and understanding the principals behind music composition. If only I’d known some of what you are teaching for the theory of Harmony exams. Thanks you so much. Val Cole, Australia.

Melanie thank you so much for naming chords and their inversions and assuming your viewers have some experience in playing and have knowledge of theory. That makes learning a piece like this easy and fun. You are an excellent teacher. There are plenty of tutorials by others who assume the viewer knows nothing and won't even state chord names so to not confuse them. I lose patience watching those; so much wasted time. We experienced players need more tutorials like yours 😊
