Why does worship feel shallow? Why does preaching feel flat? Why has passion for God gone cold? The answer might be simpler — and more uncomfortable — than you think: a low view of God.

In this episode, we open in Isaiah 6 — widely considered the greatest passage on the holiness of God in all of Scripture — and trace it through the story of King Uzziah, the seraphim, Palm Sunday in John 12, and the return of Christ in Revelation 19. What we find is a thread that ties the whole Bible together: God is a holy King, and understanding that changes everything.

Topics we cover:
- What A.W. Tozer meant when he said your view of God is the most important thing about you
- King Uzziah — what pride, prosperity, and a low view of God's holiness cost him
- The seraphim in Isaiah 6 — who they are and why they cover their faces
- What "Holy, Holy, Holy" actually means (and why it's the only attribute tripled in Scripture)
- The connection between Isaiah 6 and Palm Sunday in John 12
- Why God is not self-deprecating — and why that's actually good news
- The difference between a quantitative and qualitative view of God
- Revelation 19 and the return of the King

Today, I sat deep in reflection.

I have had a life full off ups and down, and I've had a family, studied for my BSc, had a career, and learned many things.

But after reflection I realised, the only useful thing and the very best thing that has ever happened to me was finding Yeshua. Nothing and nobody can or will ever satisfy my hunger and thirst for OUR KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. We have the most amazing, wonderful, awesome God.

Serving him is the greatest honour one could ever experience.

I am so thankful that this sheep heard his voice. Maranatha.

I am speechless. I've been humbled. There are some things God does that I question, but now... Lord, do what you want. You are holy.

I used to see the Old Testament as insignificant. I've recently fallen in love with it and I'm realizing how it plays a HUGE role in the New Testament and that without it, the New Testament in turn would be insignificant.

Great study. I also find it interesting that God was faithful to Uzziah knowing he would betray him.

This reminds me of Job. At the beginning of the book God told satan "have you consider my servant..." and describe Job as a righteous. Yet at the end of the book when Job is asking the Lord "why?" The Lord reminds him that he is none to question the Lord and His power

In answering the question, if you could be an eyewitness to any event recorded in scripture, what would it be? I choose Isaiah 6. What an incredible scene of manifest glory, majestic sounds, and manifold beauty. Awe and humility are the only proper response.
