The journey towards healing from a narcissistic relationship can be a daunting and challenging experience for anyone. However, for Christians, the pain and trauma experienced in such relationships can be compounded by certain ways we process the Bible, love and relationships in dysfunctional and distorted ways. Narcissism is an issue that many area needing to work through and heal through. But what does that even look like? Today I want to share a compassionate perspective, but also be honest about what the journey looks like.

This abuse is terrible and hard to understand if you haven’t been through it

The struggle to accept that he wouldn’t change was probably the most difficult for me. Learning to heal now. Thank you for this content because it is a blessing on my journey ❤

My biggest lessons from these relationships have been to trust my instincts, DON'T overlook red flags, be bold with the truth, guard your boundaries with the fierceness of a lioness and trust yourself; which stops you from being gaslit. The only way you will ever have peace is to walk away.

The church can throw a huge amount of guilt onto the spouse that is struggling with a narcissist partner.

“Just love your wife” - heard that and knew the person had no idea what I was dealing with.

Just started the process of divorcing a narcissist. Took me almost a decade to realize I was being verbally , spiritually and emotionally abused and gaslit. Yet all I feel is guilt and sadness. I’m doing this for my child so she doesn’t think this is how a wife should be treated.

The Most High has already shown us what to do with a narcissist, the very first narcissist and his enablers were cast out of heaven so fast like lightning. All the narcissist traits are the same personality traits of the enemy.

My cousin is a covert Narcissist who accuses/criticizes/belittles/berates constantly, and one day I realized Satan is the accuser of the brethren too.

I divorced a narcissist 15 years ago and I am still recovering. I still have insomnia in the middle of the night. The good thing that has come out of this I think is my need for God/Jesus to get me through the day. I am doing much better now, but I am still not free completely. I have days I feel free of the oppression/depression caused by the covert abuse, but I really want to be free of it completely.

My sister found out and brought us to saftey to live with her . By the time we arrived my son was underweight and i was 90 lbs . Through the grace of God we are now healing physically , mentally and emotionally. My son is healthy now and im now 113 lbs and getting better everyday still a battle but i know the Lord is faithful.

I realize the way to treat the situation is, that unless God says otherwise, things will never change with the narc.

The hardest thing I've ever done is go no contact with my grown daughter who is a Covert Narcissistic. I have experienced everything you mentioned. The hardest part is losing my relationship with my 3 grandchildren 😢.

The one line that hit home. They're not interested in healing. Period. And healing takes being humble, compassionate and talking things out.. having the hard conversations. Without that it is a not a reciprocal relationship

I grew up with a narcistic parent, and the tragedy is the fact that other Christians , people from church, in the community , and other relatives turned a blind eye, , they allowed it.

I’m married to a covert narc. & gaslighter & the saddest thing is he claims to be a believer at the same time. I personally think he only believes in Jesus to be saved, not to be changed. I think he just believes for what He can gain.

Thank you so much for this. There is so very little care and counseling for victims of narcissism within a Biblical framework. Lots of secular advice. Thanks for your great, thoughtful content. As a 50 yo who just realized my mother is classic NPD, this is salve for my soul. Most in the church don't understand (you talk about this in the video) so it mutiplies the pain from feeling judged.
