Heart entered the 90s with confidence. After a rough go in the early 80s, they had a big comeback with their self titled album of 1985 along with the number one single These Dreams thereafter. Bad Animals followed suit with the 2nd biggest single of 1987 with the bombastic classic Alone. As they started the new decade with their 10 studio album Brigade. It continued their chart success that dated back to 85 with their self titled Heart album. Brigade peaked at #3 on the album charts in both the US an the UK while peaking at number two in Canada, Finland, and Sweden. The lead single from the record helped carve out his success.

All I Wanna Do Is Make Love to You. was written by legendary producer Mutt Lange and was said to have been written for Don Henley. Apparently the song was first recorded as "All I Want to Do Is Make Love to You" by Dobie Gray in 1979, Heart’s rendering of the song was a smash. going all the way to #2 on the billboard hot 100 half out of the number one spot by Madonna’s Vogue.

Believe it or not this is Heart's biggest hit in most countries outside of the US and the UK, as it hit number one in Canada, for a week, in Australia and reaching the top five in New Zealand and in several northern European countries. It was also nominated for a grammy for Best Group Pop Vocal Performance, another shocker, It is the only one of the band’s singles to have been certified Gold by the RIAA.

Ann tells the story of this next as well as forming the love mongers and recording music for the Soundtrack for Director Cameron’ Crowe’s love to seattle and the music scene. called Singles. Ann talks about her exposure to the Grunge scene with many big bands from the era recording at the band’s own custom built studio Band Animals in the early to mid 90s. Some great stories in this exclusive interview with Ann.

I fell in love with Ann and Heart in the 70s. I like the harder rock era but Ann's voice is so amazing. I will listen to anything she sings (love Nancy too).

When my cousin was around 16, she was living a dangerous lifestyle, like alot of kids in 70s...drugs, promiscuity, etc. She and her best friend decided they were going to hitch all the way to CA! I think they had made it to AZ. from MS.

It was getting close to dark, when a motorcycle gang came along. By then, they had let their guard down and accepted a ride from them. They figured out pretty quickly that they had made a big mistake. The guy s and their women built a fire for the night. They were used to D&A, but those people were on a different level. They were nervous and scared, so when they all had passed out, they very quietly escaped. They turned out to be the 'Hells Angels'!

They saw their names on their jackets, but were too young and naive to know who they were and their reputation! When they discovered who they were, they almost swallowed their heads. It pretty much put an end to their wild lifestyle!😂

I told her that she should write a book!

I understand what people such as Ann dislike about the song. Somehow, even though that ordinarily turns something like it into a guilty pleasure for me, I still just enjoy this one.

Interesting because I know when that song came out it was the creepiest thing I had ever heard in a rock song.

There was something about it that just made my skin crawl. I actually felt awkward listening to it but it had nothing to do with sexuality or anything like that. There was just something wrong about that whole song
