What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and griefs to bear
And what a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer
Oh, what peace we often forfeit
Oh, what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer
Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness
Take it to the Lord in prayer

My dad, when I was younger, always put on country gospel music, driving home from Church. This song brings back old memories.

Jesus is the only friend we can trust about any an everything. We can call upon Him any hours of the day or night.

I feel like I just went to church with my grandmother who is with the Lord. I can still here her singing these songs and holding my hand when I was a little boy.

My grandfathers favorite hymn. He would ask us, Who's your friend? If we didn't say Jesus, we would get a sermon as to why he is our friend.

Today I finally got in a relationship with this girl Ive always had a thing for, but I feel so insecure about it and think "what if she's setting me up? What if she cheats on me?" I immediately came to this song because I knew I needed to hear it

Before my husband died he told me he wanted the Old Rugged Cross sung at his funeral. He wanted a funeral he did not want to be cremated. I had the old rugged cross by Alan Jackson played at his funeral. Thank you Alan Jackson.

Today is April 19,2024. Times are now perilous. We are at the reflection point of WW3. Please pray without ceasing and take everything to the Lord in prayer. God bless us all with mercy and grace.
